In the cold of December, along the Sea-to-Sky Highway, a car swerves into the ditch, killing the driver. Was the crash by accident or design? There seems to be some cruel game at play on the cliffs overlooking Horseshoe Bay, and Cal Dion, along with Dave Leith, JD Temple, and the rest of the North Van RCMP team have to act fast to understand its rules, name its players, and end the perverse fun before it veers out of control. Then when one of their own is targeted, it's clear it has already done just that, and the race is on.
